Art Exposition Metal in Motion

"Metal in Motion" is the theme for the exhibitions. The name is given by the fact that, throughout the process of creation, the parts that are used and heavy crude in nature, end up losing rigidity. The work completed comes alive and moving, and this is a very marked degree in this work.

Raw Material

(Junk wiped with jet of sand)
New approaches on the use of potentially recyclable materials - and even the totally disregarded - have always been goal of the artist.
The inconformism in relation to the destination that is useless given to each piece of metal becomes a profound source of inspiration.

André ´s First Piece

Made with only scrap of car and motorcycle,
gathered in workshops and iron-old.

First Piece

Architecture and journalism are part of his academic background, but his real vocation is to make sculptures with recycled metal. Pieces of scrap iron as spring and connecting rod may, mysteriously, take part in new constructions transforming the obvious in unusual.

The artist´s debut in exhibitions left no doubts about the innovationand creativity of his work. In 2005 he made his first piece “Archer” received the 1st place on the 3rd Art Saloon in the Casa da Lagoa- Região dos Lagos – RJ. After that, in all the exhibitions he participated, his pieces have been rewarded.
